Encouragement
⭐ Feature this testimony

Not Defined by our brokenness but by His Purpose.

Our story is a testimony that God does not waste our struggles—He uses them for His glory. There was a time when we asked God, "Why me?" I struggled to understand why I had to live with a physical disability while others seemed to walk through life without the same burdens. There were days filled with frustration, tears, loneliness, and questions that seemed to have no answers. For a long time, we believe(d) our disability was something that defined us. We wonder if God had forgotten us, if we would ever have the same opportunities, or if our life could truly have purpose. But God gently began to change my heart. Through His Word, He showed me that my worth has never depended on what my body can or cannot do. My identity is not found in my limitations—it is found in Jesus Christ. Iets discover that God never promised a life without suffering, but He did promise that He would never leave us or forsake us. He walks with us through every valley, every disappointment, every painful question, and every difficult day. His grace is sufficient. When we are weak, He becomes our / my strength. When I felt forgotten, He reminded me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). When I questioned my future, He reminded me that He has plans to give me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). When I believed my weakness made me useless, He reminded me: "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Today, I no longer see my disability as proof that God doesn't love me. Instead, I see countless ways He has carried me, strengthened me, opened doors I never expected, introduced me to people who have encouraged me, and used my story to encourage others who are hurting. Would I have chosen this journey? Probably not. But I have learned that God's purposes are often revealed through the very struggles we wish had never happened. My disability may affect my body... …but it does not define my identity. I am loved. I am chosen. I am redeemed. I am a child of God. And one day, every tear will be wiped away, every pain will end, and every broken body will be made whole in His glorious presence. Until that day, I choose to trust Him. Because my greatest hope has never been in having a perfect body... My greatest hope is in having a perfect Savior. *"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."* — Philippians 4:13 **Your struggle is not your identity. God's love for you has never changed.**

Relationships

God restored my marriage after I had given up

In 2023 my husband told me he wanted a divorce. We had been married for nine years and had completely lost each other. I joined a prayer group on this app and started praying consistently for the first time in years. Within four months, something shifted. He agreed to counselling. We attended six sessions together. Today we are still married, still learning, but genuinely in love again. God is a Restorer. I would not have believed this possible eighteen months ago.

Healing

Healed of a condition doctors said was permanent

For six years I lived with a chronic pain condition that three specialists confirmed was lifelong. I received prayer at a Sunday service in November last year. I did not feel anything dramatic in the moment. Three weeks later I noticed the pain was gone. I had a follow-up MRI in January — the results confused my doctor. There was no clinical explanation. I know exactly what happened. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Salvation

From atheism to faith — the night that changed everything

I was a committed atheist until I was 34. I had a philosophy degree. I had read all the arguments. Then my daughter was stillborn and I found myself in a hospital corridor at 2 AM with nowhere to turn. A stranger sat next to me — a nurse I had never met — and she prayed over me quietly. Something broke open in my chest that I cannot describe. I walked out of that hospital three days later still grieving, but no longer alone. That was four years ago. I am now part of a church, a prayer group, and I mentor young men. Everything changed.

Family

My son came back after years of walking away

My son left the faith at 19. He spent eight years rejecting everything he was raised to believe. I prayed for him every single day for those eight years. Not perfectly. Some years I lost hope. Some mornings I prayed through tears. Last Christmas he called me and asked if we could talk about God. He gave his life back to Jesus in my living room on 27th December 2025. Do not stop praying for your prodigals. God has not forgotten them.

Provision

Unexpected provision when I had three days of food left

After losing my income unexpectedly, I found myself with three days of groceries left and no income coming. I had been too proud to tell anyone. That Saturday, three different people contacted me with money — people I had not spoken to in months. Two of them said they felt God put me on their heart. The total covered exactly two months of rent and groceries. God knows. He really knows.

Healing

Freedom from twenty years of depression

I have struggled with clinical depression since my early twenties. Medication helped manage it but never removed it. At a prayer retreat last year, I received ministry from an older woman who prayed over a specific wound from my childhood that I had never told anyone. I wept for an hour. Something lifted that day that has not returned. My psychiatrist has been reviewing my case — she says what she is seeing is unusual. I am not naive. I know mental health is complex. But I also know what happened to me was real.

Business breakthrough after years of struggle

I spent four years building a small business that never seemed to gain traction. I was exhausted and close to quitting. I started praying differently — not for success, but for God's purpose. I also joined a business mentorship circle in this app. A connection I made there introduced me to a client in January 2026. That single contract doubled my annual revenue. I am not sharing this to brag. I am sharing because four years ago I almost walked away from the vision God gave me.

Relationships

Reconciled with my estranged father after 17 years

My father left when I was 9. I had not spoken to him in 17 years. I had deep anger that I had hidden even from myself. Through a discipleship process in 2024, I began to work on forgiveness — not for his sake, but for my own freedom. I wrote him a letter. He replied. We met in March this year for the first time. It was awkward and imperfect and completely holy. We are not best friends. But there is peace where there was a wall. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.
