Just want to give glory to God today. After eight months of unemployment, I started my new role this morning. I know many of you prayed with me through this season. God is faithful — not always on my timeline, but never late. Grateful.

Asking for prayer for my teenage daughter. She has been very withdrawn lately and I am worried about her mental health. We have made an appointment with a counsellor next week. Please pray for wisdom as her parent, and that she will open up and find the support she needs.

To anyone going through something hard right now that you haven't told anyone about: you are seen. God knows the weight you are carrying. And sometimes His comfort comes through the quiet — through a song that plays at exactly the right moment, or a message from a friend out of nowhere. He is still speaking. Keep listening.

Does anyone have experience with Lectio Divina as a prayer practice? I have heard about it but always assumed it was a Catholic thing. Now I'm hearing evangelicals use it too. Is it something worth exploring? What has been your experience with it?

My city, Rotterdam, hosted its first ever unified city prayer gathering last weekend. Seventeen churches from nine denominations, around 800 believers together in one room, praying for the city. Something shifted in the atmosphere. We are doing it again in October. If you're local — come.

I have been reading through Lamentations this week — not the most obvious choice. But Jeremiah's rawness with God is remarkable. He doesn't pretend. He mourns loudly and honestly. And right in the middle of the most desolate poetry in Scripture he writes: 'His mercies are new every morning.' That didn't come easily. He had to fight his way to that line. So can we.

For anyone in or near Amsterdam: we are starting a new early morning prayer group meeting at 6:30 AM every Tuesday at Centraal Station. Just 30 minutes — quiet prayer, one scripture, and then we go to our day. Four of us have been doing it informally. We're opening it up. DM me for details.

Would appreciate prayer for wisdom in a difficult work situation. A colleague has been making things very hard for me — not in a dramatic way, just a slow drip of discouragement. I want to respond like Christ, not like my flesh. Asking for grace, patience, and wisdom on how to handle this well.

Today marks one year since I stopped drinking. 365 days. I never thought I would reach one day, let alone one year. This community, prayer, and the grace of God have carried me. I am not 'fixed' — but I am free. Thank you for everyone who stood with me in this.

How do you explain to a non-Christian friend why you believe in answered prayer without it sounding like coincidence or wishful thinking? I've been struggling with this conversation with someone close to me. Would love to hear how others have approached it.

Reminder for today: the fact that you are still holding on is itself an act of faith. Perseverance is not passive. Staying in the room, keeping your Bible open even when it feels dry, showing up to church when you don't feel like it — these are choices that matter. Well done for still being here.

ANSWERED PRAYER: My father's biopsy came back clear. We have been praying and fasting for three weeks. No cancer. The doctor said the original scan was likely a shadow. God can move even in what doctors think they see. Thank you to everyone who stood with us.
